Alberto Lara
 Program Assistant/LISC AmeriCorps Member
Alberto is a first year LISC AmeriCorps intern at JARC. His position is Income Support Specialist. In this position, Alberto conducts public benefits screenings, provides tax preparation services, and refers people to a variety of health and legal services. He came to JARC after completing his undergraduate degree in philosophy at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. One of his favorite hobbies is to read works of philosophical and political nature as well as engage in debate and dialogue with people. Joining AmeriCorps has allowed Alberto not only to meet and provide service to people, but also to have the opportunity to constantly learn something new and gain meaningful experience through his interaction with the people he serves.
