Dan Faichney
Community Technology Center Coordinator
Enjoying his second year at JARC and his third year in the adult education field, Dan supervises computer classes and conducts ongoing program development at JARC’s Community Technology Center. In this position, he provides support to instructors and students, conducts evaluations and assessments, teaches classes, addresses trends in workplace technology, and manages curriculum and learning materials. Prior to entering this position, he was JARC’s LISC AmeriCorps member, assisting the Education and Human Development Program and coordinating classes in the CTC. In the first year of his two year term with AmeriCorps, he served as a Team Leader, organizing trainings and coordinating service activities for a statewide group of AmeriCorps members. At this time, he also worked as a tutor and teacher’s aide, serving in a variety of classrooms, including ESL, adult basic education, and citizenship. Prior to holding these positions, he was an editorial writer and self-employed technology consultant. He speaks Spanish, and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan.
