Danielle Hammel
 Adult Learners Program Services Coordinator / LVI AmeriCorps Member
Danielle coordinates JARC’s adult literacy program (ALPS). ALPS provides one-on-one and small group tutoring in mathematics, reading, writing, English as a Second Language, and GED preparation to help adult learners achieve their educational, professional and personal goals. Danielle recruits learners and tutors for the program, provides personalized lesson planning services, coordinates pairings and tutoring sessions, and develops workshops on topics of special interest to our adult learners. She also provides ESL instruction in the ALPS program and contextualized reading instruction in the Manufacturing Bridge.

Danielle comes to JARC with a background in immigration law and teaching English as a Second Language. She holds a BA in History, International Studies and Spanish from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI and is currently serving as an LVI AmeriCorps member.
