Guy Loudon
Executive Director
Guy Loudon brings 23 years of industry and teaching experience to his work as Executive Director. Guy's relationship with JARC began in 1995 when he came on board as a full-time metalworking skills instructor. He served as JARC's Lead Instructor from 1997 to 2004, and as Director of Training Services from 2006-2010. Guy co-authored the nationally-recognized Metalworking Skills Assessment test and developed much of JARC's technical curriculum. He was also instrumental in establishing JARC's Technical Training Center for the Metalworking Trades. While Guy served as JARC’s Director of Training Services, he expanded capacity in the Careers in Manufacturing program by implementing an open entry-open exit enrollment model. In 2009, he initiated the Women in Manufacturing program, and, in partnership with Erie Neighborhood House, created a tutoring program to provide additional points of entry and credential attainment opportunities for manufacturing trainees. Under Guy’s direction, JARC’s training services strengthened their focus on long-term skills shortages in Illinois’ manufacturing sector. Guy attended the Aspen Institute’s Sector Skills Academy in 2006-2007, and added to his strong background as a CNC machinist and programmer with an 18 month turn as a setup man with Chicago Gasket from 2004-2006, a company which specializes in the precision manufacture of Teflon and other advanced plastics.
