Sandy Bykowski
Director of Training Services, Manufacturing Skills Program
In her role as Director of Training for the Manufacturing Skills Program, Sandy works to provide quality training services to manufacturing employees. Sandy brings over 13 years of Instructional Design and Human Resources experience to JARC. As an Instructional Designer at Tempel Steel Company, she developed formal training programs in punch press and other manufacturing operations, training operators to be trainers. She has also facilitated courses in leadership and performance management, including conducting performance appraisals and positive reinforcement techniques. Sandy has long been familiar with JARC’s program and services, having served on the Board of Directors at JARC since 2004. She completed her Master’s degree in Public Policy at DePaul University, and has a Theater and English degree from Cleveland State University. While a Creative Writing graduate student at the University of Illinois, she taught Freshman Composition. In addition, she also taught preschool at the Rogers Park Montessori School—thus teaching all ages, from 3 to 63!
