Sheri Gibson
Director of Development
Sheri Gibson is the current Development Director for Jane Addams Resource Corporation. Sheri has over 10 years experience working in the nonprofit sector and her previous roles include: Vice President of Grants and Government Relations for Jobs For Youth/Chicago, and Development Director for HealthConnect One, a maternal and child technical assistance and health advocacy agency. As an experienced fund development professional, she has expertise in workforce development, health promotion, social innovation, human and social services and extensive experience in Affordable Housing/Community and Economic Development. Sheri is experienced in fundraising strategic planning, stewardship, foundation, corporate and donor relations, identifying and cultivating community partners and particularly grants management. A Chicago native, Sheri spent eight years in St. Joseph, Michigan responding to the need to increase homeowner occupancy in the community of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and while there she founded a community development corporation, Home Ownership Made Easier (HOME) in collaboration with Michigan State Housing Development Authority. Her affiliations includes: the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Chicago Chapter Governing Board; Social Enterprise Alliance-Chicago Chapter Board of Directors; Donors Forum Public Policy Committee Member; Chicago Women in Philanthropy, Philanthropy Club of Chicago, Chicago Jobs Council and Chairs AFP Government Relations and Social Enterprise Alliance-Chicago Marketing/Public Relations Committees.
