If you answered yes to these questions, we invite you to join JARC's Workers' Advance Committee!
The Workers' Advance Committee is a group of people - graduates of JARC's different programs and community members - who are interested in helping workers like themselves gain the skills they need to create better lives for themselves and their families. As a democratic group, the WAC enables members to learn popular education methods and gain leadership skills. WAC members have the opportunity to use the skills they acquire to serve as mentors to JARC's clients and to teach workshops and classes. WAC members also advise JARC on the effectiveness of current programs and help to create new ones.
WAC sponsors the Promotores program at JARC as well as the Spanish GED program.
